OTP Relay
Forwards OTPs to one contact
Forwards one-time passcodes to one chosen contact, for a set time. Runs entirely on the phone: no server, no SMS gateway, no network calls.
Pick a name from your phone book and a duration. Until the time is up, texts that mention an OTP, a one-time password or a verification code go on to that person over your own SIM. Texts that only mention login, security or authentication codes, which unlock whole accounts, are deliberately left alone.
For when someone you trust needs an OTP and you would rather not stop what you are doing.

What it does
- Sessions of 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. Each one stops by itself, and only one runs at a time.
- Only contacts from your phone book can receive codes, and adding one, or saving a quick action, needs your fingerprint or phone unlock.
- Quick actions make the next session one tap. Request links let someone ask for a session; nothing starts until you approve.
- The recipient gets a text when a session starts and when it ends, and each forwarded text names the original sender and is marked (fwd by OTP Relay).
- Every message sent is logged on the phone, grouped by session.
What it doesn't do
- No server, no SMS gateway, no network calls. The app does not hold Android's INTERNET permission, and the manifest shows it.
- No data collected or shared: no analytics, no accounts, no cloud backup. The log stays in private storage and never leaves the phone.
- Reads texts only while a session runs, as they arrive. It never reads the inbox.
- Never forwards out of sight: a session will not start without a visible notification, and it stops within 5 seconds if that notification is blocked or removed.
Good to know
- It is not on Google Play. It installs as an APK from GitHub Releases, on Android 8.0 or newer.
- Because it receives SMS, Play Protect may stop the install, and Android keeps the SMS permission greyed out until you allow restricted settings for the app. The install notes cover both.
Get it
Download the APK from the latest release and open it on the phone. Then go to Settings → Apps → OTP Relay → ⋮ → Allow restricted settings, and press start; the app checks what a session needs and points to anything missing. To build it yourself you need the Android SDK (platform 36) and JDK 17 or newer.
